GET INNOVATION BITOLA is actively participating in the local events in Bitola. As part of the Bitola’s NGO sector we have taken place in the Community Service Fair in October 2014 which involved NGOs presenting their programs, activities and goals. GET INNOVATION has build a media stand which attracted visitors’ attention who found interesting opportunities for volunteering in our organization. Due to the great involvement, GET INNOVATION was also awarded for one of the most innovative boots at this Fair.
The Fair was organized by U.S. Embassy Macedonia together with the American Corner Bitola. Here is part of AC Bitola’s overview of the Community Service Fair:
“Learning more about the opportunities that ten local NGOs offered for volunteers in the Bitola region can be pointed out as one of the main goals of the 2014 Community Service Fair held at the Center for Culture in Bitola on October 30th. U.S. Embassy Macedonia together with the American Corner Bitola, were hosts of this amazing event which celebrated volunteerism!
This Community Service Fair, first of this kind in Bitola, has been a true contribution to the work of the non-governmental sector in Bitola and has enhanced future cooperation and development of new projects in the region. During the Community Service Fair in Bitola organizations have been able to present their work, reach out to contacts, and learn more about the other NGOs in Bitola and also to find new volunteers for their future activities. On the other hand, around 350 visitors were able to hear that volunteerism and active participation are segments which are highly developed in Bitola, and to learn that they can gain skills and experience by involving in some of the activities of the present NGOs.
Promotional materials, info-sessions, live-streaming with volunteers in other countries, CPR sessions with Red Cross representatives and educators were just some of the activities during this amazing Fair in Bitola.”
